Active ingredient: fluoxetine
Fluoxetine may be administered as single or divided doses, during or between meals.
It appears that the drug causes a slight decrease in the rate but not on the extent of absorption of fluoxetine in humans. The drug is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract with peak plasma concentrations between 6 and 8 hours after oral administration. Systemic bioavailability exceeds 60% and its effects seem to be unaffected by food intake.
