Active ingredient: pantoprazole

When pantoprazole is taken with food, the time interval that elapses until reaching the maximum drug concentration (Cmax) increases significantly, since absorption may be delayed two hours or more relative to fasted state. However, although the rate of absorption is slowed, the total bioavailability is not affected by the presence of food[1].

Therefore, pantoprazole should be taken before meals.
