Baclofen, at standard doses, is considered compatible with breastfeeding.

The limited information available suggests that the amount of drug that reaches the milk is low and unlikely to cause abnormalities in the baby, especially past the neonatal period. However, it should be monitored for possible development in the infant neurological signs of depression, such as sedation.

Fetal exposure to baclofen can cause the appearance of a withdrawal syndrome in the newborn.

Warning of the manufacturer:

Women who breastfed their infants should not take baclofen.
