Celecoxib passes into breast milk in very small quantities, making it unlikely to cause adverse effects in the infant. There are no data published about it.
A baby may consume a maximum of between 10 and 40 mcg/Kg/day of substance, which is from 0.23 to 0.30% of the maternal weight adjusted dose . For all the reasons given, it seems reasonable to conclude that celecoxib is compatible with breastfeeding.
Warning of the manufacturer:
This substance is contraindicated if the patient is breast-feeding.
