Probably diflunisal quantities that enter the blood with the usual doses for the mother are insufficient to produce any adverse reaction in the infant. However, studies on the use of this substance during breastfeeding are very limited and other substance should be chosen if necessary the use of a drug in this class.

Warning of the manufacturer:

Diflunisal is not currently marketed in many countries. Because of the potential for serious adverse reactions in nursing infants, should be chosen to discontinue the medication or to stop breastfeeding.
