Adverse reactions to Calcitonin parenteral
- 1. Calcitonin neutralizing antibodies
- 2. Decrease in serum calcium
- 3. Diarrhea
- 4. Increased diuresis
- 5. Inflammation of the injection point
- 6. Metallic taste
- 7. Redness
- 8. Sickness
- 9. Vertigo
- 10. Vomit
Rare.. Possible discrete reduction of long-term efficacy. No relation to allergy
Rare.. Transient, within 4-6 hours of injection. Patients with high bone remodeling (young patients with Paget disease)
