The active ingredient lacidipine belongs to a group of medicines called antihypertensives.
This medicine help to lower blood pressure in patients who have high BP (arterial hypertension).

Other ingredients of available commercial presentations:
Each tablet contains 2-4-6 mg lacidipine. The other ingredients are lactose, povidone K30, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, and sodium benzoate

The tablets contain lactose. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to sugars, contact him before taking it.
Do not use lacidipine
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to lacidipine or any of the other ingredients of the medicinal product prescribed to you. If you think may be allergic, ask your doctor.
Allergy symptoms may include:
- Asthma attacks with shortness of breath, audible wheezing or rapid breathing.
- More or less sudden swelling of the face, lips, tongue or elsewhere in the body. It is especially critical if it affects the vocal cords.
- Hives, itching, rash
- Anaphylactic shock (loss of consciousness, paleness, sweating, etc.).
Nor you should take this medicine:
If you have a narrowing of the aorta (severe aortic stenosis).
Take special care with lacidipine

If you forget to take lacidipine
Do not take a double dose to make up for missed doses. If you forget to take a dose corresponding to one day, take your normal dose the next day.

Common side effects:
- Headaches, Blush, and fast heartbeat. (These side effects may go away as your body adjusts to the medication).
- Lightheadedness or dizziness after the first or second dose. (Lie down for a short period of time and you will feel better).
- Swollen members spots, rash itching upset stomach,
- nausea, more frequent urination, a slight feeling of weakness.
If any of these symptoms appear, it is not necessary to stop taking the tablets, but you have to tell the doctor as soon as possible.
Uncommon side effects:
- Inflammation of the gums. (If this symptom appears, it is not necessary to stop taking the tablets, but you have to tell the doctor as soon as possible).
